Guest house and cottage near Saumur
7 km from Saumur, in a particularly touristic area, “En Rou Libre” is a cosy private little hamlet made of typical tufa stone.
You will see : a main house dating back to the 19th century, two annexes houses, a games room, an ancient bread oven, a study room, an old farmhouse, an open barn used as a pool house, a swimming pool and a total of 7 troglodyte cellars.
This ensemble is in the heart of the charming village of Rou-Marson, capital of La Fouée (a kind of bread resembling pita).
In the immediate vicinity of the Ecole Nationale de Cavalerie, the Verrie racecourse, the Terrefort airfield (parachuting), and in the heart of the Saumur vineyards, it is an ideal starting point for many excursions and visits. The village is only 10mn by car from the town of Saumur, and not far from many famous “Châteaux de la Loire”.
The region is splendid and activities abound.
The site, completely renovated, opened its first 2 guesthouses (“gîtes”) and a private room with its own bathroom in July 2017.
